Our Beginningsrestoration

Bilodeau’s Furniture first opened in 1976 out of a small garage in Seekonk, Massachusetts. Owner Dennis Bilodeau began his career in furniture restoration studying the construction of antiques and honing his craft under the tutelage of several fine craftsmen. A master craftsman himself, he has developed a love for antiques and an appreciation for quality workmanship. His knowledge of wood species, authenticity, and furniture construction is extensive.

In 1977, Bilodeau’s moved to its current location in North Dighton, Massachusetts, continuing in furniture restoration and gradually evolving into new furniture sales as well. Bilodeau’s specializes in solid wood cherry, oak, and maple furniture, which has been carefully selected from manufacturers who hold the same regard for quality and workmanship as the owner himself.

Our Showroom

The showroom at Bilodeau’s is stocked with many lovely dining and bedroom sets as well as several occasional pieces. Much of the furniture is Amish or Mennonite made and accurately reflects the design and style of Early American, Shaker, Colonial, and traditional furniture, crafted with many of the same techniques considered standard during the 19th century. These pieces do not enter the showroom without personal inspection by Dennis Bilodeau, a perfectionist, who stakes his reputation on the quality of his products.

Our Service

Being a craftsman at heart, Mr. Bilodeau has an unusual approach to sales. The environment is relaxed and comfortable with no high pressure sales techniques used. You will be given time to make your decision thoughtfully and wisely with Mr. Bilodeau guiding you through the process, assisting in measurement and layout as well as customizing or resizing options. Bilodeau’s prides itself on customer satisfaction. We remain a family business committed to the values of honesty and hard work.

When you first visit, you will find Dennis in the workshop restoring furniture. He will likely enter the showroom dressed in work clothes or with dust on his shoes. Your journey to finding beautiful furniture, expert service, and the lowest prices in New England has just begun.
